Twinbrook Birth Defects Blamed on Tiberium
If you haven’t at least heard of the Tiberium rock, you have been living under a rock. When most residents go rock collecting they usually come across one or two of these nondescript rocks. Most people end up selling them because of their worth, and it’s always a good way to make some quick cash. For those who have made rock collecting a way of life, there are some problems. Tiberium is highly sought after by these individuals because of it’s otherworldly alien green color. Once cut and polished this rock seems to take on a life of it’s own pulsating, throwing out strange green fireworks and rotating in place all on it’s own. Who wouldn’t want such a treasure?
If you are thinking about starting a family, you may seriously want to consider selling off all your Tiberium because the strange rock has been linked to serious birth defects that are indescribable. The DNA of those children exposed in utero to Tiberium have been drastically altered. The current theory from scientists out of the Sims in Arms Military Base is that aliens have left behind these rocks in order to alter sim DNA as a way of reproduction. The military sees this as a direct act of terrorism and a threat to national security. They currently have no plans on how to deal with the issue.
Meanwhile scientists over at the Twinbrook Science Lab have no theories and are doing one experiment after another on laboratory mice. So far the only conclusion they have come to is that Tiberium causes cancer in the rats.
Exactly what are these birth defects or genetic alterations? We can’t say for certain what is going on and no one with any sort of degree has any comments on the matter. The best we can do is publish a couple pictures taken around Twinbrook of the deformed offspring.
This is Misty Tenebrae right after she celebrated her birthday from baby to toddler. Her mother told us, “When we brought her home from the hospital she was nothing more than a living breathing arm. We thought it was so weird but the doctors kept reassuring us that sometimes these things happen and that she will grow out of it. I honestly don’t think that they had seen anything like it before and was just trying to make us stop freaking out. Do you know how hard it is to change a diaper on a huge arm? Anyway, with her birthday it just got worse. I can’t describe it.”
Her dad explained more about the arm. “She wasn’t a baby at all. She was a giant arm that didn’t even fit in her crib. She barely fit in her room, it wasn’t long enough. I wish someone could tell us how this happened.”
“What is even worse, is since we discovered that our first child had so many problems and we wanted a large family, we decided to adopt and all the kids that were at the orphanage had the same problems.” Mrs. Tenebrae told us. “If it wasn’t for our daughter being born like this I would have sworn that all the kids there came from Strangetown.”
This picture of Bobby Sergeant and his toddler was snapped in one of Twinbrooks parks. “You know, when our daughter was born with birth defects we didn’t think anything of it, with me being in the military and all. I am exposed to so many weird things we don’t even have names for that it’s all kind of an occupational hazard.”
So far, both children involved have been girls. Only time and more Tiberium collections will tell if boys are affected the same way. Both girls have been studied extensively at both the science lab and military facility. Due to HIPPA laws their medical records have not been made public, nor are the scientists at either facility able to discuss their findings with each other. In the halls of Sims in Arms Medical Hospital doctors talk in whispers about how the genetic studies show that both girls should have been boys but no one will talk on or off record about it.
No one has any idea how far reaching these birth defects are or what kind of problems these children will have as they grow up. As speculations continue, at least the cause has been tracked to Tiberium. Marshal curious, a scientist at Twinbrook Science Lab, spoke to us off the record. “One thing is for certain, Tiberium isn’t from this planet at all, that has been established. We aren’t sure where it is from, but at least the glowing green color is neat.”
