Cryrogenic Fish

screenshot-69The process of obtaining a pet fish in Sunset Valley is no secret.  You have to go fishing.  But what happens when you forget to feed that fish and it dies?  You are stuck fishing again, possibly for hours, before you can get a suitable replacement.

That isn’t what one sim in Sunset Valley did.  Robert Chase, a known mad scientist over at Landgraab Labs, keeps cryogenitically frozen fish in his refrigerator.

When he forgot to feed his pet deathfish, Zane, after giving him a porclin alter burial, he simply went to the refrigerator, pulled out a replacement deathfish and plopped it in the tank.  Within seconds the fish was swimming around happy in it’s new home as if nothing weird had ever happened to it.

“I spend so many hours fishing,” Robert told us, “that it just seemed like the logical thing to do.  I always have a huge stock of fish in the fridge and I am always selling fish to the market.  I figured I might as well cryrofeeze the rare few that I would want to keep as pets for backup when one dies.  Otherwise I would have as many fish tanks around as I do rocks.  I already completed my life goal to have the perfect aquarium, but it was so much upkeep that I decided to scale down to one fish.  Cryrofish just happens to be my answer.  I am not saying all sims should do this, but if they want to, it’s really not that complex of a process.  I would be happy to teach them how to do it.”

At press time, SETA (Sims for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) was not available for comment.
